We’re done travelling for now, but definitely have plans for more trips/adventure in the future (more on that soon). We decided to keep the blog going with some of the things we’re doing around here, as well as future plans. We are staying in Murraysburg, SA for the moment. Julie is flying back to the Midwestern US for three months to see family and friends, and flies from Cape Town to Chicago on 31 October. Since being back in Murraysburg, we’ve done a bit of relaxing, enjoying life in a house again and not living out of a truck. WR trimmed his beard down to a more normal length, and is working on getting his chainsaws back up and running to restart his tree business here (he broke a bar in Malawi, bought a new one upon our return here, but there are some other problems with the saw, probably caused by rattling around in the bottom of the Landy for 6 months, that need to get sorted out before he can work).
Some local sightseeing we’ve done since our return has been Obesa cactus & succulent garden/nursery in Graaff-Reinet, Valley of Desolation, outside of Graaff-Reinet, and “The Big Hole” diamond mine tour in Kimberly. We’ll put some pics of these places up soon.
